Re-sowing following drought damage

Dear golfers,
the ongoing drought and high temperatures have not left our golf course unscathed.

The ground is very dry and some areas of turf have turned brown. In addition, on holes 5, 7 and 8 we had grubs (the larvae of the leaf-horn beetle), which have eaten away at the roots and caused damage.

To improve the quality of play and the turf’s resistance to wear, we have begun targeted overseeding measures. We have sown high-quality, deep-rooted grasses to restore the turf as quickly as possible and ensure we can continue to offer you a first-class golf course in the future.

Caring for the Course
Please take care to spare the freshly overseeded and marked areas wherever possible, and continue to repair pitch marks and divots carefully. Our Head Greenkeeper and the entire team thank you for this and are doing everything they can to ensure the course recovers as quickly and smoothly as possible.
